That’s it and how about the owner of the restaurant? He never realized he wasn’t cutting a check to this worker? Owners know where their money is going and where it’s not.

It should be 23 years in prison. The restaurant should be seized from the owners (who are related to the manager) sold, and the money given to the victim. Shame on the customers who heard the beatings and screams over the years and did nothing. Conway SC 👎🏻

This is the state that gave us Lindsey Graham so this is pretty much par for the course in SC.

“While working there, he forced the cook, John Christopher Smith, to work more than 100 hours a week and beat him with a belt, his fists and pots”. This restaurant should be sued for every last penny and then shutdown!!
