Fun Fact

16% of U.S. Internet users are on Twitter.

Which could explain Yvette’s oddly positive reaction to the article, that when I read it, didn’t give me the impression it was a particularly Pro-#ADOS article.

The article has been called fair by both sides, and attacked by both sides, which means that we tried our best to be fair. I used to write about Israel/Palestine, but writing about this was just as hard.

You caught that too, huh? Also, the woman who conducted her questions with me via DM suddenly doesn't know how to DM. Funny how that works, huh? Where's my tea??

Goodnight y'all.

Also, it is absolutely possible to dm me. Why lie? Are you confused about how to use twitter? @fstockman https://twitter.com/fstockman/status/1194474107083132928 …

Yes. I am terrible at Twitter. I'm bad at it, and don't like using it. At any rate, I really did try to call and DM you, and I guess I have been blowing up another 917 number.

On the one hand, most people will say "Who is this guy? What was he running for?" On the other hand, his argument about out-of-control debt should keep GOP voters up at night.

Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers. He was funny + insightful. He served in the military + hailed from the blue collar Indianapolis. Yet his voice was heard all over the world. Pleased to hear his library has a new home. https://www.theindychannel.com/news/local-news/kurt-vonnegut-museum-and-library-opens-in-new-location-in-indianapolis …

One black woman nearly wept with emotion when she described the fellowship she felt with other ADOS organizers. “I feel like our ancestors were on the same plantation, trying to get free together.” Another black woman nearly wept with rage while denouncing ADOS as a Trojan Horse.

My latest piece about the growing identity debate in black America was most polarizing subject that I have ever tackled, which is saying a lot since I used to cover Israelis and Palestinians.

So not only are you xenophobic, you’re also homophobic. Are you aware of the fact that the founder of ADOS is a gay woman that dates white women? Y’all wanna talk about my family but not that huh. #adosisconfused @adosnj @fstockman https://twitter.com/AdosNj/status/1193166303353344001 …

Ok y'all. Im here for ideas, not personal beef. If you want to come over and have dinner at my place and talk face to face, you are most welcome. But short of that, I don't need to be involved in this back and forth on Twitter.

Should black Americans who descended from slavery have their own ethnic category, separate from those who hail from abroad? My latest piece was probably the most polarizing subject that I have ever attempted to write about.

Thank Goodness @fstockman undertook this topic. Is it a Movement? A Moment? Lots to consider, now that there are verified facts + historic context on the table. Read Farah’s Thread, and her report 👇🏾 https://twitter.com/fstockman/status/1192845833613578243 …

Thank you Amy!

@fstockman this thread (though I don’t agree with it all), this thread is real! This is what we want, agree or disagree, give it to us real. I just wish it could have been the article. I’m glad you are taking the time to now speak out though and engage. I respect that https://twitter.com/fstockman/status/1192845833613578243 …

Thanks for the respect. I try to be respectful to others and hope I get the same in return, even on social media. LOL. I like engaging with ideas, not personal attacks, so hopefully that is a starting point for future discussions about blackness/American identity/wealth.

Your article was fair. You and I clashed a bit on this point tho. ADOS is solely motivated by xenophobic hatred, per their clear anti black immigrant agenda set by PFIR friend Yvette Carnell. You said you hadn’t engaged w them online often. They are coming for you now. @fstockman https://twitter.com/fstockman/status/1192845860092157953 …

Thanks so much for taking the time to talk to me. I really appreciated it. Thanks, too for saying the article was fair. We do our best to best fair, although fairness is often in the eye of the beholder.
